Hair Regrowth Natural Treatment

Arginine: This is another essential amino acid for proper hair growth. In addition, it is the metabolic precursor for Nitric Oxide, which is a messenger substance that stimulates hair growth by opening Potassium channels. Arginine in large doses (3g-12g) may also help release Growth Hormone which probably helps in hair loss (along with anti-aging and body development).Many people have said it helped their hair loss. Cysteine: This amino acid is essential for proper hair growth. It probably doesn’t help much to regrow hair if you have hair loss, but helps ensures that you have the proper nutrients necessary to grow hair. It supports hair growth. No known side effects. Available in Natural and grocery store.
Fatty acids

Fatty acids: tural fatty acid with possible antiandrogenic effects. not tested.

Green tea: Green Tea Catechins are an extract of Green Tea leaves. This ingredient has recently been found to have antiandrogen properties. Some people have reported some benefit to using it for hair loss. Unknown side effects. Available in Heanlth and grocery store.

Polysorbate 80: Emulsifying Cleanser, This is the original ingredient from the ‘Helsinki formula’ popular in the 80s. No known side effects. Available in health stores.

Proanthocyanidins (Grape Seed Extract): Natural Procyanidin oligomers, Commonly found in stores as ‘Grape Seed Extract’. Several published studies by one team of researchers indicate that it will stimulate hair growth, although actual studies in humans showing how well have not been performed. No known side effects. Available in health product store.

Saw Palmetto: Antiandrogen, This product has been proven to help with enlarged prostates for many men, but has not been studied for hair loss. Side effects of possible enlargement of the prostate, breast growth, lower libido. Not to be used by pregnant woman.

Vitamin B-6: Essential vitamin, it has been shown in previous studies on Zinc that combined with Vitamin B6, it was markedly able to inhibit the conversion of Testosterone to DHT in the skin. There are now studies that show that specific types of B6 alone will inhibit DHT creation and androgen receptor activity. However these studies show that the source of B6 is important, as some sources actually INCREASE creation of DHT. In other words, if you don’t know what form of B6 you’re getting, it may be best to leave it alone. It is important to get enough though, because according to the same studies, a deficiency of B6 will increase DHT creation as well.

Although side effects from vitamin B6 supplements are rare, at very high levels (200 mg or more per day) this vitamin can eventually damage sensory nerves, leading to numbness in the hands and feet as well as difficulty walking. Vitamin B6 supplementation should be stopped if any of these symptoms begin to develop.

Pregnant and lactating women should not take more than 100 mg of vitamin B6. For other adults, vitamin B6 is usually safe in amounts of 200-300 mg per day, although occasional problems have been reported in this range. Any adult taking more than 100-200 mg of vitamin B6 for more than a few months should consult a nutritionally oriented doctor. Side effects from vitamin B6 appear to be more common when intake reaches 2,000 mg per day; consequently no one should ever take more than 500 mg per day. Available in health and grocery store.

Zinc: Mineral, Zinc is a necessary dietary mineral. Recent studies have shown that certain formulations of topical Zinc can inhibit DHT in the skin, leading to reduction of oil and possibly helping hair regrow. Several verified studies that zinc reduces DHT in skin. Zinc is a safe natural product. Available in health and grocery store.
